The newly approved Meer Chakar-e-Azam Rind Flyover, set to span the North Railway level crossing at Shumali Phatak–Daira Din Panah Road, marks a major leap forward for Kot Addu’s infrastructure. Sanctioned by the Punjab Provincial Development Working Party in December 2021 with an investment of Rs 633 million, this project aims to eliminate persistent traffic bottlenecks caused by train crossings and ease transportation flow across the tehsil .

A monitoring report from June 2023 confirms that construction is underway, with civil engineering teams actively working on the flyover foundations and approaches. Once completed, it will dramatically reduce waiting times and improve connectivity for commuters, farmers transporting goods, and emergency services alike.
